Uprising Day

Since I last wrote, we have returned home, back to normal life. Over the next days and weeks I will post several more recollections and supplements. For today, here’s something about the day we left:

Radio Noroc“ is turned on to wake everyone one last time. The last coffee is cooked. The last person turns off the light.

A pleasant goodbye, a couple of jokes, we share a laugh. The others drive to the excavation, we drive home – past the herds of cows, the geese, the church where we arrived, completely disoriented, five weeks ago.
